The pavilions are located within the perimeter of the Royal Gardens of Turin and were built in 1921 and renovated in the 1970s. The goal of the project is to realize a new entrance to the Museum of Antiquity built by Gabetti & Isola in the 1980s. The works involve all three existing pavilions.
The central pavilion houses the entrance hall with the desk, the museum shop, a cafeteria, a conference hall with 130 seats, and two halls for events. The lateral pavilions host spaces for research and temporary exhibitions, while a new glass pavilion with a green roof hosts the cafeteria tables and, in the basement, an open-access deposit and two restoration workshops.
